Why Brushed Bronze Tapware Is the Statement Your Bathroom Needs
The specially manufactured cement-polymer–coated surface of ThermaSheet provides an ideal substrate for direct tiling. Its high-performance composite structure—featuring a rigid waterproof core, fibreglass reinforcement, and a polymerised cementitious facing—ensures exceptional stability and long-term durability.
ThermaSheet is particularly recommended in wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, wetrooms, and utility spaces where walls and floors are exposed to frequent or prolonged moisture. Lightweight and easy to handle; once installed, ThermaSheet provides a perfectly smooth, stable, and moisture-resistant base suitable for a wide range of decorative finishes, including tiles, synthetic renders, decorative plaster, and more.
Installing ThermaSheet beneath an underfloor heating system dramatically reduces both heat loss and the cost of running domestic heating systems. Offering excellent thermal properties, using ThermaSheet in conjunction with underfloor heating improves the efficiency of the heating system.
INSTALLATION
When installing Thermasheet in wet areas, including applications prior to the installation of underfloor heating systems, mechanical fixings are not required. The boards must be fully bonded to the substrate using a cement-based tile adhesive or an appropriate Sika® adhesive. Solvent-based or ready-mixed adhesives must not be used. All board joints are required to be sealed with compatible waterproof membrane tape to ensure a continuous, watertight barrier.
For wall installations or other vertical or non-load-bearing applications, Thermasheet must be mechanically fixed to the substrate using the specified screws and washers, which are sold separately.
