Tapware are one part of bathroom design which have been going through many trends over the years, particularly when it comes to colour.

Not so long ago chrome was essentially the only bathroom tapware finish available. Now there are bold alternatives to suit any taste or budget.

From chic monochrome looks in black and white, to warmer metallic hues such as bronze and copper; decorative tapware can provide an instant bathroom update and make a space stand out from the crowd.

Copper tapware is the newest tapware on the brushed block. Copper tapware has been around in different variations for decades but brushed copper tapware is making big waves during this brushed tapware renaissance.

With copper tapware, you can see from most of the examples you are adding a very bold tapware finish so the room often needs to be a little muted around it.

Additionally, you can take a more aggressive approach like the example below using bold green to compliment the brushed copper finished tapware.

Warm metal tones work brilliantly with almost any bathroom palette and with so many styles on offer, it's possible to find accessories that will work well in anything from an industrial bathroom through to a nostalgic, cottage chic option. Particularly attractive with a bench mounted basin or wall-hung basin, bronze make a beautiful addition to any bathroom. The warm, rich tones offer a sophisticated and timeless charm that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Radiant will be introducing these two new colours to their already extensive range of Vertical towel rails in November 2024.
