Have you considered Under Floor Heating

Winter is here again, and it is time to introduce you to the benefits of Underfloor Heating. Not only will the heat give the cold tiles a wonderful ambient under foot temperature, but they will also reduce the build up of mold in the grout as the floors will dry so much quicker.

Bathroom mould, also sometimes referred to as mildew, is a fungal growth that develops on damp surfaces. Mould reproduce by means of tiny spores. When the temperature, moisture, and available nutrient conditions are correct, the spores can form into new mould colonies where they are deposited. Constant moisture is required for mould growth.

This can become a serious problem that commonly affects bathrooms although it will thrive on any damp surface in the home. Bathroom mould is a real concern for homeowners as it can cause health issues like allergic reactions and asthma attacks.

Heat the bathroom – All too often, bathrooms are neglected when it comes to heating in your home. Many people only fit a heated towel rail and do not consider the heating requirements of the whole bathroom area.

Whilst a heated towel rail, once covered with wet towels, will not provide much ambient warmth, this will actually create more moisture in the room as towels dry and increase the rooms humidity. By introducing underfloor heating, it can reduce moisture and humidity in your bathroom and will help prevent the buildup of mould as it allows excess water to be dried quickly. Don’t forget ventilation; an extractor fan will ensure the moist air in your bathroom will be transported outside.

If your are planning a renovation or even a build, Underfloor Heating is the affordable luxury that everyone should consider. You may not have thought about it, but you can thank us later, when you do!

We have easy to install solutions to suit any requirements; both INSCREED and UNDERTILE kits.

Don't forget our easy to use calculator that can be found on our website.
Simply enter the main dimensions of the bathroom and then add in any applicable exclusions i.e. bath, shower, toilet, vanity and any other areas you wont need to heat. Our calculator will work out the free floor area, and therefore the size mat you need, the electrical requirements and estimated running costs. This is important as you cannot cut the cable!!

We are always happy to assist too, if you have a plan of the bathroom and you would like us to help you work it out, just send it over to sales@radiantheating.com.au and we will be more than happy to help.

We also have a Dual Timer & Thermostat option which is perfect if installing under floor heating with a heated towel rail, and lets admit why wouldn't you want both. The conduit will already be in the wall for the thermostat so why not have one display control both!!

The Dual controller has two independant zones, one for the under floor heating and another for the heated towel rail allowing you to set different schedules for each.

For a minimal upgrade fee we can offer you a great added value extra.
